How is the score calculated?
Each of the 15 questions maps to a clause of ISO 42001. Yes = full credit, In progress = half credit, Not yet = no credit. Your overall score is the weighted average, and the per-clause breakdown shows where you are strongest and weakest.
What is a passing score?
There is no formal pass mark — that comes from the certification audit. As a rough guide: 80% suggests you are close to certification-ready (2-4 months of audit prep), 60-80% means the bones are in place but gaps remain (4-8 months), 40-60% means foundational work is needed (8-12 months), and below 40% means it is too early to attempt certification.
Does this replace an internal audit?
No. A real internal audit examines evidence for every control, interviews staff, and produces a formal report. This quiz is a fast triage that tells you which clauses to prioritize before you invest in an internal audit.
