How does a geofence work?

A geofence is a virtual perimeter (usually a circle) drawn around a physical location on a map. The admin sets the center point and radius (e.g. 100 meters around the office). Any GPS coordinate inside that boundary counts as "at the location"; any coordinate outside does not.

Modern GPS attendance is accurate to within 5-15 meters on outdoor phones. For indoor use, the geofence radius should be set slightly larger (100-200 meters) to account for weaker GPS signal. Zilonex also uses cell tower and WiFi triangulation as fallbacks for indoor accuracy.
